I found the CDs concerning the Job Roles and Venues in the Performing Arts to be of enormous value as a teaching aid. Here at West Suffolk College we teach a range of courses leading to BTec qualifications in the Performing Arts. Because these courses are vocational we run the whole thing as a theatre company on a very practical basis. The materials you provide are a most useful adjunct to what we do and allow the students easy and informed access to the less visible areas of the world of theatre. This is invaluable in educating our students in the practicalities and realities of the Performing Arts as a career and the incredible diversity of job opportunity within the business.
The additional materials you provide like sample contracts for example are very useful to our students. It is material which is not normally available easily for us and so provides yet another tool in educating young performers.
There is a dearth of good and current information on careers and career structure within the Performing Arts which we often struggle to overcome It is exactly this kind of educational product that we need
I look forward to viewing more of these excellent teaching aids.
An excellent resource to prepare pupils for their Unit 1 exam. full of useful information about the performing arts business given by experts from all fields in the performing arts business. back to top
We have found both DVD's to be invaluable in the delivery of specific coursework units on both the BTEC National and AVCE Performing Arts Courses. The menu driven format enables us to access relevant sections as required rather than show the whole programme. The interviews with practitioners in all fields being particularly appreciated by our students." back to top
The resource has proved invaluable for all of our students (particularly those who study BTEC First Diplomas, BTEC National Diploma and AVCE Performing Arts). The sections were well structured, informative and insightful and it certainly opened a few students eyes to the 'bigger' picture! back to top
